When a homeowner calls to do an addition or “Open Up” the floor plan, this is what they mean! A light, airy, inviting place to host family and friends. This addition was added right next to the kitchen area to entertain more efficiently. The homeowner states that this addition was a “game changer and they should have done it years ago!” Most people feel that way. Especially once the project is complete and they can use their new space the way they have dreamed of. This fun family got all excited about the design. Their daughter was actively involved and was instrumental with the final design aesthetic.

The family room addition, opens-up on both sides with Sierra Pacific Aluminum Clad Wood Inswing Patio Doors. This allows the extension of the outdoor patio to be part of the indoor entertaining. Along with the over the door transoms this room is full of natural light. By adding a focal point of a 42” Masonry Styled Radiant Wood fireplace with Herringbone Refractory enhances the beauty and warms the room. Custom built-in shelving by Roeser Home Remodeling flank each side of the fireplace with family collectibles and photos. Puck lighting on dimmers inside the glass cabinets allowed for display items to set the mood for any occasion. Ship Lap walls simplify the room while allowing the beautiful trim work to be exposed from crown moulding to baseboards, as well as matching the homes original trim around the door-ways and openings. Openings to other rooms in the house were raised and the entry to the master bedroom was changed to match the transom effect of the other door ways. LED can lighting on the ceiling reflects the clean lines along with white speakers inside and out from Beishir Audio/Video. Sono’s Amplifiers on the front and back patios allow any music to be played, in any entertaining area whether you’re inside or out. New hardwood flooring has been installed to warm and ground the room. Other areas of the home were refinished to match the new flooring and bring together a cohesive design. A large walking area, allowed for a bar area right off the kitchen to be installed. Stacking Wellborn Cabinetry from the Estate Series took storage to the ceiling. Simple shaker style doors with dark cabinet hardware throughout added interest and detail against the white background. Glass added to the cabinet doors mimicked the glass on the opposite side of the room in an opposite placement. LED Tape lighting on dimmers brighten the task areas within the cabinets to show off beautiful barware. A 3cm Granite countertop was installed in the Negresco Suede Series and is stunning in contrast! The Kohler Essex Bar Sink faucet was installed behind the Kohler Northland 15 X 15 sink. A disposal and stainless-steel ice maker makes tasking at the bar as simple as pouring a drink.
