If you’re not sure whether to take on a whole house remodel project in St. Louis, Roeser Home Remodeling can help you decide. A whole house remodel might be an option for you if:
- You want to “age in place” and don’t want to leave life-long ties to your community;

- You’ve outgrown your starter home but the area offers what your family needs;
If you care about an area, the history of a house, or the integrity of a neighborhood, then re-designing a floor plan and doing a whole house remodel might be the solution to your problem.
Here are stunning examples of how the expert team at Roeser Home Remodeling in St. Louis helped three families stay in the homes they loved.
Ranch Remodel for the Next Chapter
What they wanted
This couple still work and are very active but they wanted a home that could take them into the next chapter of their lives. They found one they liked, but the floor plan needed some work such as room to entertain family, for grandchildren to hang out and for a brewing hobby.
How Roeser Home Remodeling helped
We combined two smaller bedrooms into one master suite. The living room and garage were combined to make one large space with the garage’s floor raised to match the existing floor. New flooring was laid.
To bring in natural sunlight, the garage door was replaced by a large bay window and a skylight was added to bring in even more light. Custom built-ins gave the couple extra storage and closet space.
Since the couple no longer had a garage, we built them an extended length one, with space for their brewing experiments. Part of the basement was finished as a space where their grandchildren could hang out. We built custom storage and shelves for games, a television and other items kids need to keep them occupied.
A bathroom was built, and the laundry room was updated. For pictures and details on the fixtures and windows we used in this project, visit here.
Condo Remodel
What they wanted
This couple had a simple request. They wanted an open kitchen-dining area to entertain family and friends.
How Roeser Home Remodeling helped
We Removed a hearth room in the front of the house and all the walls between the kitchen, dining room and living room. That really opened up the space. We relocated the kitchen to where the original hearth room was. This made more sense to the flow of the light and the now open spaces.
No project is without challenges. When we opened up the spaces, it revealed a structural steel beam that needed to be camouflaged. Our team of carpenters and designers came up with a plan that unified the old and new spaces.
An all-white, bright kitchen with new appliances made this a wonderful space for this couple to entertain their family and friends.
Whole House Remodel in Glendale
What they wanted
The couple and their three children were outgrowing their home. They decided a two-story addition would fill their needs. One requirement was ample storage space for the three children’s school and sporting equipment. An updated, larger kitchen was also on their list.
How Roeser Home Remodeling helped
A wider entrance hallway from the garage and the backyard provided a unique place to build custom locker spaces. Drawers, cabinets and shelves provided plenty of storage for all their gear and schoolwork.
The addition housed a new family room and the larger eat-in kitchen. French Sliding Patio doors allowed in natural light into the family room. The existing kitchen was converted to a breakfast nook. The new kitchen included a custom bench that was built in our own mill shop.
